Sports Illustrated: The Clippers, with so many veterans, are a mess. They are wasting Harden’s talent.

Today, "Sports Illustrated" wrote an article about Harden and the Clippers. The following is the full content.
The Los Angeles Clippers dropped to 4 wins and 11 losses this season, losing nine of the last ten games. The game against the Orlando Magic may have been the worst of their string of losses. The Clippers trailed by double digits in the first half and struggled throughout the game, giving up before the end of the third quarter thanks to one of their worst offensive performances of the season. However, James Harden's performance remains a highlight for the team. The 36-year-old veteran performed well again in Orlando, contributing 31 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists, shooting 16-8 from the field, 11-5 from three-point range, and 12-10 from the free throw line. He scored 24 of the Clippers' 49 points in the first half.
Except for Harden's singles, the other Clippers players failed to find good scoring opportunities, and the remaining players' shooting percentage was only 11/34. The Clippers have repeated this story all season long. Harden did everything he could to improve the team, but outside of Ivica Zubac, he couldn't find any reliable help. Leonard has missed nine consecutive games, Bradley Beal is out for the season, Chris Paul is in and out, Bogdan Bogdanovic is out of shape and Brook Lopez has failed to help. The situation is so desperate that the Clippers are banking on rookie Kobe Sanders on a two-way contract to make a difference in the starting lineup. All this forces Harden to play more than 36 minutes per game. While the rest of the league is trying to lighten the burden on veterans to extend their careers, the Clippers are unsustainably draining Harden.

Although Harden is satisfied with his workload and is performing well in his current role, reaching his best form since the Rockets days, he should not bear such a heavy responsibility at this stage. Harden joined the Clippers to chase the championship dream that has eluded him throughout his career. Unfortunately, the team didn't give him the best support. A miscalculated offseason led the Clippers to move on from Norman Powell and bring in veterans who couldn't help contend for a title. Every move the Clippers make over the past year puts more pressure on Harden. Add to that the inconsistency of teammate Leonard, and it's hard not to sympathize with Harden. Although he still maintained an All-Star level performance, the support given to him by the Clippers was far from enough.
