Recently, Jabbar participated in the "Jennifer Hudson Show" and talked about his historical scoring record being broken by James.
"LeBron deserves it," said Jabbar. "He worked hard for 20 years. I mean, it's the glory he deserves. I'm not playing to break records. What I want to do is lead the team to win the championship. Fortunately, I've been in the championship team six times and won two MVPs. These have satisfyed me."
"Nothing can always belong to one person. The meaning of the record is to be broken. LeBron can do this is amazing. I hope he can enjoy it all and achieve what he wants during his career and after retirement. His career is legendary, and he has made amazing achievements both on and off the court. Off the court, he funded students from all over the school district to go to college; on the court, he has been invincible for 20 years. So it's all he deserves, and I hope he can enjoy it."
