Team report: Rennes packs Marseille double star Merlin & Longjiye, total price 18.5 million euros

The Team News reported that Rennes and Marseille reached an agreement on the transfer between Quentin Merlin, 23, and Valentin Longguier, 30, (pictured above).
In order to sign the left-back and midfielder, Renne proposed a total of 18.5 million euros in fixed transfer fees.
This offer successfully convinced the Marseille management that they had planned to sell Merlin and were determined to let Longjiye go, who refused to renew his contract in February this year.
