Announcement is as follows:
Juventus is pleased to welcome François Modesto. From today (July 15, 2025), he will serve as the club's technical director and report directly to General Manager Comoli.
François Modesto is about to turn 47 in more than a month, and he was born in Bastia. After about twenty years of playing career (1997-2016), he decided to start his management career immediately, holding important positions in Greece, England and Italy. It was in Italy that Modesto spent a big part of his career, first on the court and then behind his desk, thus gaining a deep understanding of every aspect of Italian football.
Modesto's first experience as sports director and head of scouting department began in 2016, where he spent three league titles and one domestic cup championship during his period. Then in 2019, Modesto moved to Nottingham Forest, England, as the football director. At the end of his three-year term, he successfully helped Nottingham Forest return to the Premier League after 23 years. Later, in the summer of 2022, Modesto came to Italy to join the Serie A promoted Mönza and served as the technical department director until the end of 2024.
His vision, experience and cross-domain capabilities will bring important added value to Juventus.
General Manager Komoli said: "I am delighted to welcome Modesto to our team, whose role will play a central role between the coordination of the technical department (game analysis department, medical department, performance department and psychology department) and the Tudor coaching team, helping to strengthen the club's sporting character. The choice of Modesto is a result of a careful assessment and we believe that his experience in a diverse and competitive environment, as well as his knowledge of Italian football, can make an immediate and lasting contribution to Juventus' growth."
François Modesto said: "It is an honor and a great responsibility for me to join such a brilliant club. This club has an extraordinary history and a culture of victory that I deeply admire. I am eagerly looking forward to starting this new journey, working closely with Comoli, Coach Tudor and the entire team to create an ambitious, modern and successful project. I will devote all my experience and efforts to contribute to the success of Juventus in Italy and Europe."
Welcome, Director, and wish you a smooth work!
