According to Le Marca, Valverde will not go to Uruguay due to a back injury.
Real Madrid's official injury announcement was issued on May 25, and Valverde was confirmed to be injured and diagnosed with sciatica. Marca reported that Valverde was unable to play in the two World Cup qualifiers in June with Uruguay.
