Marca reported that Barcelona accelerated the renovation of the Camp Nou Stadium, but it would need to play away in the early stages of the league next season.

Barcelona is stepping up construction to complete the renovation of the Camp Nou Stadium as soon as possible. However, the stadium will not be available when La Liga starts in mid-August. The club's senior management has already expected this and has applied to play away games at the beginning of the new season. Currently, they have obtained permission to play away games on the first three match days. The club made it clear that the team could not return to Montwhich Stadium as the agreement with the city expired. Therefore, they need to buy more time to ensure that Camp Nou can be enabled in time.

However, Barcelona hopes to further increase the number of away games, reaching at least four rounds. The request was reported by Catalonia Radio, but according to multiple sources consulted by Le Marca, no response from La Liga has been received yet. Camp Nou will have its first test at the Gambel Cup on August 9 or 10. The specific arrangements are still to be determined and depend on the progress of the project at that time.

It is reported that the game may only allow 25,000 spectators to enter, far below the planned 60,000 seats at the start of the league. This low-capacity competition will be a preview of subsequent high-capacity events. The club is reluctant to give an exact date of return because it depends not only on the progress of the project, but also through all necessary approval procedures to reopen the stadium. For Barcelona, returning to their home court is crucial because the team has lost a large source of revenue over the past two years.
