According to German Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, after Sancho confirmed his departure, Chelsea was keen to sign Dortmund striker Gittens. The Blues are currently negotiating with Gittens himself, Dortmund Club and his management team. However, Dortmund has not received a offer from Chelsea to Gittens, and the players are preparing for the Club World Cup with the team.
Florian Plettenberg said that Bayern no longer pursues Gittens seriously at this stage because they are focusing on other target candidates.
The 20-year-old England striker Gittens has made 48 appearances in various competitions this season, scoring 12 goals and contributing 3 assists. His contract with Dortmund expires in the summer of 2028, and currently the price of Germany is 50 million euros.
