The German media "Bild" wrote an article reporting on Boateng's life after retirement, and stated that he has passed the B-level license training examination and will return to Bayern as an intern coach to accumulate coaching experience.
Reports pointed out that since announcing the end of his career as a professional player, the 37-year-old Boateng has enjoyed a new freedom, but still maintains an extremely self-disciplined life. He still insists on getting up at 6 a.m. to send his two 14-year-old daughters to school. During the workday, he would drive to Munich two or three times for one-hour training sessions with sports scientist Matthias Blankenburg at the MYOS physiotherapy center. It was here that the Bayern legend gave an exclusive interview to Bild.
Boateng said: "I haven't really felt the changes brought about by retirement. Everything is still too fresh. My life is still centered on sports." Boateng revealed his fitness plan: "Focus on training endurance, strength, and the stability of the legs, upper limbs and core muscles. In Linz, I will also go to the gym, usually choosing people. I rarely train for an hour or an hour and a half in the evening. "
In addition, Boateng also discovered a new hobby: "I played padel with Matthias Blankenberg with great success. "This sport is similar to tennis, but it is always played in doubles on a smaller court with a special racket, and the ball can be bounced with the help of a glass fence.
Surprisingly, Boateng almost stopped playing football after retiring, with one special exception: "Currently I only go to the stadium with my daughter Lamia. She is very talented and enjoys it. Now that she has joined the club, I want to train and support her."
This father-daughter partnership is actually mutually beneficial. It is known that Boateng is embarking on a new coaching journey: "I have passed the training examination for the B-level license and plan to complete multiple internships before January next year." This will include the team coached by Kompany, who played alongside Hamburg and Manchester City.
After Kompany opened the door to the internship to his former teammate, Boateng revealed: "We have talked and I will do an internship at Bayern. I am very much looking forward to it. Just determine the right time." This means that after four and a half years of ending the Bayern player contract, Boateng is about to return to Sebena Street in a new capacity.
It is worth mentioning that Boateng is also active in the business world: "I am the co-founder of the RYZR brand headquartered in Bielefeld, which provides rehabilitation products for professional athletes and mass sports enthusiasts. Based on my experience, I know that the recovery link is crucial. "
