ESPN reported that Chelsea also wants to sign Ekitic.
Although he just signed Drapp from Ipswich for £30 million and still owns Jackson and Nkunku, ESPN sources revealed that Chelsea is closely following Frankfurt striker Ekitic, the 22-year-old scorer has contributed 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 games this season.
Frankfurt bought Ekitic from Paris Saint-Germain for 25 million euros in 2024, and currently priced it at 80 million euros. Chelsea is not yet ready to meet the asking price, and Liverpool is also paying attention to the development of the situation.
Ekitic has withdrawn from the French U21 European Youth Championship this week, and landing in the Premier League club is its current top goal.
