reporter Shams revealed that sources revealed that the Heat signed a three-year contract with defender Drew Smith, and the Heat officially confirmed the signing.
Michael Scotto followed up and reported that it was a three-year contract worth $7.9 million.
Drew is from the Heat training system and has overcome the ACL and Achilles tendon injuries that have caused season-reimbursement reimbursement respectively in the past two years.
Last season, Drew played 14 games, averaged 6.2 points and 1.5 steals per game, shooting percentage of 51% and three-point shooting percentage of 53%.
