talkSPORT reported that Balotelli may soon join the 13th club of his football career, and he publicly expressed his desire to play in Australia. The former Premier League champion is attracting glorious interest from A-League team Perth after leaving Genoa.

Ballotelli returned to Serie A last season, but lost his position after only 6 appearances in the league. Before joining Genoa, he played for Türkiye and Switzerland. His career has also been to Monza, Brescia, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Ligue 1 Marseille, Premier League Liverpool and Manchester City.

Ballotelli, 35, is looking for new challenges. He publicly admitted that he is willing to go to Australia: "I am very interested in joining the A-League. This will be a new experience. As long as there are clubs who are willing to negotiate, my door will be absolutely open."

The former Manchester City star revealed that he had discussed this with his compatriot Diamanti. Diamanti, who played for West Ham and Watford, ended his career at the A-League Western United.

Ballotelli added: "His description is very interesting. It will be an exciting opportunity to compete in the AUP, and Australia itself is also an ideal place to live."

This public statement attracted the glorious attention of Perth. Its football director Stala Lazaridis said: "Ballotelli will be of great significance to the club and the league. Although it is a big deal, the Australian Super League has precedents such as Del Piero and York. Although it is difficult, we are indeed interested."

If the trip is finally completed, Balotelli will follow in the footsteps of former Liverpool teammate Sturridge. Sturridge joined Perth in 2021 after being banned for violating the FA Gambling Ordinance, and was hailed as one of the most important signings in the history of the A-League.

But he only played 6 times in a year (one of which started) and did not score. He only made his debut in nearly two months after joining the franchise, and was later absent due to a groin injury for a long time. Repeated injuries seriously affected his performance, and he was eventually terminated when Perth Glory finished with only 4 wins in the summer of 2022.
