TA: For Barcelona signings, Rashford has a much lower priority than Luis Dias

The Athletic wrote an article to take stock of Barcelona's recent transfer trends.
Nico Williams chose not to transfer to Barcelona, but signed a 10-year contract to stay in Bilbao. Previously, Nico Williams' team asked Barcelona to include a termination clause in its proposed contract, allowing him to leave the team freely if the club fails to register for him before the start of La Liga in the new season. Sports director Deco rejected their request, prompting Nico Williams to decide to stay in Bilbao.
The signing of Badge from Copenhagen is going well, and club sources are expected to confirm completion before next week's pre-season training begins. The plan is for head coach Frick to evaluate the 19-year-old winger in training and warm-up matches in the coming weeks and then make the best decision for him based on it, either staying in the club for a potential secondary role or being rented out.
Two youth training players left the team. Sergi Dominguez, a 20-year-old player who played six times last season, was sold to Dynamo Zagreb; Noah Davic, 18, moved to Stuttgart. The two deals brought the club a total of slightly higher than EUR 2 million. 19-year-old player Paul Prim joined Qatar's THAAD after his contract expired.
Barcelona is turning to other goals. Deco's primary goal is also Liverpool winger Louis Dias, who the club had already contacted earlier this summer.
club sources said that Louis Dias is the player most concerned by the sports director department.
Barcelona had turned to Nico Williams, the players had a fixed transfer fee, no need to negotiate with the club, and were much younger than Luis Dias. But from a football perspective, Deco believes that 28-year-old Louis Dias best meets their requirements for the new attacker. In addition, he has more immediate combat power than Nico Williams. Club sources said Barcelona hopes to make an offer to Luis Dias in the future, but they are also very clear about Liverpool's current delicate situation.
On Barcelona's signing wish list, Rashford has a much lower priority than Luis Dias. Rashford is within Barcelona's focus, but bringing him in is not urgent as they prioritize Luis Dias.
Barcelona realizes that Rashford is eager to join, and since Manchester United intends to sell the player, this may be achieved on a favorable basis. This may be the reason why Barcelona is preparing to wait until the transfer window to take action later.
As mentioned earlier, the left winger position remains the top priority. Athletic director Deco and head coach Frick both agreed that more reliable depth is needed in this position. The question now is to find the best person.
There are also recent reports about Inter right-wingback Dumfries, and the players will activate a 25 million euro termination clause this month. However, TA learned that this position is not a priority for Barcelona to strengthen.
With Fati joining Monaco, Barcelona is working to solve the future problems of several marginal players.
Pablo Torre is ready to become the next departure. The player is expected to transfer to Mallorca permanently. Barcelona intends to retain some degree of control over the player by adding a buyback clause or a resale share clause to the transaction. Paul Victor is another player who may leave the team. Paul Victor may leave in search of more stable playing time, especially if Barcelona brings in a winger, which could further reduce his playing time.
Next week, as the team returns to the preseason, Frick is expected to have a private conversation with Ter Stegen, informing the goalkeeper that he is not expected to be a starter next season and that the plan is to send him away.
