According to "TA", the MAF and the Players Association reached an agreement on the Club World Cup bonus structure. The MAF agreed to increase the player bonus from the previous $1 million, and players will also receive 30% of the total Club World Cup performance bonus, with no upper limit. In addition, Los Angeles FC won $250,000 for defeating Mexico America in the qualifiers.

The agreement was reached on June 27, two days before Miami International's knockout stage against Paris Saint-Germain. "This agreement provides significant improvements beyond the requirements of our collective bargaining agreement and brings great value to players, and the league provides players with the richest bonus packages in the event," said Dan Courtemanche, chief communications officer of MLS. "The current collective bargaining agreement requires the league to pay up to $1 million in Club World Cup prizes, but it did not take into account the unprecedented bonus pool and expanded game size at the time. Each participating team received a $9.55 million prize, another $2 million per game, and a draw of $1 million. If you advance to the quarterfinals, there will be an additional $7.5 million prize.

Therefore, the league and the players association agreed to renegotiate the bonus structure. The negotiations continued until the start of the game, and both sides expressed dissatisfaction with the other's attitude. The Players Association said in a statement: "Although the agreement was finally reached, the players were deeply disappointed with the league's attitude in negotiations. Delay, threats and retaliation will not be effective strategies for us in major future negotiations." The Seattle Bayerman wore a T-shirt with the "Club World Cup Cash Snatch" in protest during a warm-up before the game, which attracted public attention. Although the Seattle Bayermen lost all three games in the Club World Cup, the players still received a prize of $1.4 million.

Los Angeles FC scored one point in the group stage, lost to Tunisian Hope and ultimate champion Chelsea, tied with Brazilian Flamengo, and the players won a total of $1.8 million in prize money.

Miami International is the only MLS team to win the game and advance to the knockout stage, with players receiving a total of $4.7 million in prize money. MLS also allows team owners to convert up to $750,000 in Club World Cup bonuses into allotment funds for the player roster budget, an option that all three teams have chosen.
