Mirror: Naples abandons Nunez, Liverpool must find his next home again

The Mirror reported that Nunes' transfer to Naples had broken down and Liverpool had to find a new buyer for the Uruguayan striker.
Since joining from Benfica for £85 million in 2022, Nunez's performance of 40 goals in 143 games has failed to match his performance. Liverpool spent 116 million pounds this summer to introduce Wilz, who can play center, and his fierce pursuit of Isaac, all show that new coach Slot hopes to upgrade his forward line in the new season.
Naples was the number one favorite to sign Nunez, but because Liverpool's £70 million asking price was too far from the psychological price of Serie A team's £50 million, he turned to sign Udinese 24-year-old center Lorenzo Luca for a total price of £30.7 million.
However, Nunes still has a way out, and Saudi Arabia is his potential next stop. If Osmeen is not allowed to sign, Riyadh Crescent will place Nunez as a replacement target. However, Liverpool needs to be wary of the shortage of personnel on the front line, Barcelona and Bayern bid for Louis Dias, and Jota's unexpected death has even brought about a competitive impact.
