Guardian: Lyon boss Tector intends to acquire Xie Zhousan, who is in a financial crisis

The Guardian reported that Lyon boss and American businessman John Tuctor intends to acquire Sheffield Wednesday.

John Tuctor has formed an alliance with football finance expert Keith Harris to try to acquire the crisis-in-the-climax Xie Wednesday club. Harris, who had traded the acquisition of West Ham, Manchester City and Aston Villa, led the consortium to bid for Everton last year, but failed.

Tector previously failed to bid for Everton through Eagle Football Investment Company, and the two established a cooperation with Harris' Sportsbank agency (which had offered £230 million this year to acquire 45% of Eagle Football's equity). The bidding for Xie did not involve the agency on Wednesday, and Harris is assisting Tuctor in seeking other financing channels.

Xie is in critical condition on Wednesday. The boss Chasily has contacted several buyers this summer. He rejected a £40 million offer in June, and his psychological price is believed to be close to £100 million. Players have suffered wage arrears four times in the past five months, and they did not pay their wages until they received £2.7 million in solidarity payments from the Premier League last week.
