Recently, Timberwolves forward Julius Randall talked about the situation before and after being traded by the Knicks in an interview with TA.

Randall recalled that when the deal was completed, he had a premonition that his career in the Knicks was over. His agent at CAA and the Knicks have not had any discussions on renewal, and Randall has a hard time finding his place in the Knicks' new roster. Two days before the transaction was concluded, Randall attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a new school in the Bronx. The Knicks leadership, including team president Leon Ross and head coach Tom Thibodeau, came to witness Randall's $1.3 million donation to the program. Then, in the blink of an eye, he left the team.

Randall said: "When I was traded, I couldn't believe that it was taken away. It felt like, what you worked hard to build was taken away."
