Former 76 staff: Embiid doesn t trust anyone and reveals his injury will be regarded as betrayal

Recently, several former 76 staff members were interviewed by "The Ringer" and talked about Embiid.

A former staff member said: "This team is built around a person who doesn't trust anyone and always likes to be alone. If this person can play Chamberlain's level data, this model may still work. But when he only played 19 games in a season - a new low in his career - and even in those rare moments, his shooting percentage was only 44.4%, a career worst record, and he looked timid, clumsy and slow, then this model would not work at all."

What's worse, Embiid refused to publicly hurt. Not only that, he is also tight-lipped to most people within the team. When players often come to the training ground, they don’t know whether the star can play. The coaching staff often have to wait for him to complete the pre-match warm-up before confirming his condition - sometimes less than an hour before the start of the game. Coach Nass, who was forced to deal with health problems every day, is increasingly frustrated. The pressure of knowing that any small disclosure may be regarded as betrayal by Embiid will undoubtedly make the situation worse. "For Joel Embiid, even if you have a set plan, you must not disclose any point," the second former team staff member admitted.

"It all creates a chaotic atmosphere," said a entourage of a 76ers player.
