According to BBC reporter Nizaar Kinsella, Dortmund registered Gittens, which means the player cannot represent Chelsea or other clubs in the late-stage game of the Club World Cup.
Nizaar Kinsella wrote on social media: "Bortmond's registration for Gittens means he will not be able to represent Chelsea (or any other club) in the late game of the World Cup."
