Passionate football! Team newspaper: French C team Valencina launches away jerseys for young football players

Team News reported that French C team Valencienna Football Club launched the away jersey of "Football Young Players".

Varencina Football Club (VAFC), currently playing in the French National League, announced its away jersey design for the 2025-2026 season on Wednesday. This jersey is inspired by the classic Japanese anime "Football Player" (formerly known as "Olive et Tom"), which was popular in the 1980s and influenced a generation of young football fans.

The newly released away jersey is mainly white and matched with red stripes. The design inspires the jersey worn by Olivier Atton, one of the protagonists of the auto cartoon. The goalkeeper's orange jersey is exactly the same as the Thomas Price jersey in the anime, only replacing the "N" logo with Valencienna's "V".

Through a new jersey design displayed in an animated short film, "combining comic culture, football nostalgia and local pride", Toyota, Valencienna's main sponsor, also took the opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its first Yaris model at the Anning factory.
