In this round of the Champions League, Dortmund will play away to Copenhagen. Before the game, Dortmund coach Kovac attended a press conference.

Kovac expressed his appreciation for Brandt: "I am really happy, you see I am smiling brightly now." At the pre-match press conference in Copenhagen, Kovac said this in response to questions about the 29-year-old midfielder. Although Brandt has mostly played a substitute role recently, he has always proven himself with outstanding performance.

"I am well aware of Brandt's ability. In Mainz, he once emerged to decide the game on his own. In time, he will definitely return to the starting lineup. I feel lucky to have such a player. " Kovac added. Especially in the attacking midfield position, the coach currently has ample personnel options.

Dortmund had a strong start to the Champions League this season, first drawing with Juventus 4-4 away, and then beating Athletic Bilbao 4-1 at home. Kovac called the new format, which faces eight different opponents, a truly exciting one, and said the team's goal is to finish in the top eight with outstanding performance, thereby gaining a schedule advantage with two games in hand when advancing to the next stage.

Kovac also defended Job Bellingham, who has rarely started a game recently. In last Saturday's 2-1 loss to Bayern, the 20-year-old England youngster made a mistake shortly after coming on as a substitute and conceded the second goal. "I can't understand those criticisms at all. Job left a very, very good impression." Kovac said that he had no concerns about sending young players to Copenhagen, but did not disclose the specific personnel arrangements.
