According to Daily Sports, Barcelona is negotiating with 33-year-old midfielder Romeu to terminate the contract, and Romeu can return to Girona after that.

Romeu is the only player who passed the physical examination this summer but did not go to Asia with Barcelona to participate in the preseason warm-up match. He is currently staying in Barcelona to train alone and shows his professional spirit. Romeu is no longer in Barcelona coach Frick's new season plan, and letting him stay in Spain is to speed up the players' departure negotiations.

Romeu and Barcelona have one year left to expire, and Barcelona is currently negotiating the termination of the contract with him.
