Barcelona is about to usher in a busy summer transfer window, and the transfer market will reopen on July 1. Joan Garcia will officially join this day, and the club also plans to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. In order to register these two players in La Liga, the team needs to make some staffing adjustments. Fati is considered one of the most likely players to leave the team.
Barcelona sports director Deco updated the situation in an interview with The Pioneer: "Given Fati's age and career, he can't have no games to play. If he wants to leave, we won't set up obstacles. Monaco has contacted us. Fati has a contract, and if they ask for a loan, it will be a loan deal. He is 23, but we talk about him like a 30-year-old player, but in my opinion, he still has a lot of room to grow and learn."
Another player who has attracted much attention recently is Araujo. The Uruguayan defender publicly expressed his willingness to stay in Barcelona, and Deco, as a supporter, had no plans to let him leave the club.
Deco: "We want to improve the team, not weaken it. If we lose a major player, we are weakening the team. Araujo has a contract and has renewed his contract. He has had a difficult season and received unfair criticism. He is one of the best central defenders in the world. Leaving is not in his plan, he hopes to return to his best form."
Deco also talks about Deco's future, and the stay and departure of the Dutch midfielder is also controversial. Deko fully expects Dejong to stay and the two sides will officially start contract negotiations soon.
Deko: "Dejong this season is what we want, we hope to continue to cooperate, he has a last-year contract, and we will calmly analyze everything."
