According to "Bild" news, Dortmund winger Adeyemi will be fined 450,000 euros due to the illegal possession of weapons by the police.

Documents obtained by "Bild" confirmed that the case was exposed due to a bizarre coincidence, and that the number of weapons Adeyemi held far exceeded previous speculation. The incident began in the summer of 2024. The Borussia Dortmund star is on vacation in Greece with his wife, rapper Loredana (30).

At the same time, the Dortmund star's childhood friend (who once shared a house with Adeyemi) plans to travel to Greece from his home in the Ruhr area to visit the couple. Adeyemi contacted the friend and asked him to help bring a package from home - which apparently contained clothes and cosmetics that the couple had purchased online.

The friend allegedly made a fatal mistake: Instead of taking the designated package, he stuffed another package of Adeyemi's into his backpack - a so-called "mystery box" that the player allegedly ordered on TikTok. This type of blind box is a surprise package, and the buyer does not know what is included. The friend took the package with the wrong weapon to Weeze Airport (North Rhine-Westphalia).

During the security check, the package addressed to Adeyemi attracted the attention of the security personnel and was detained after being opened and inspected. The police report revealed that the items contained: three knives, two brass knuckles, an extendable baton, a high-power flashlight and two balaclavas.

It was previously reported that the weapon contained a stun gun, but the police report did not mention this. Adeyemi's motive for purchasing the "mystery box" is unclear. The police confiscated two mobile phones of the friend and identified the owner of the package by analyzing chat records and voice messages. The friend was also prosecuted on suspicion of breaking the law.

Faced with questioning, the Dortmund player has yet to express his position on the illegal possession of weapons. His lawyer initially responded to Bild saying he could not respond within the deadline. The Dortmund club stated: "Dortmund always takes criminal charges seriously and will verify them with employees subject to confidentiality obligations."

In Germany, buying, possessing and carrying weapons without a license is illegal and punishable by up to a fine or three years in prison. The Hagen Prosecutor's Office issued a criminal penalty order in the Adeyemi case (case number 201 JS 507/24): the Dortmund star was sentenced to 60 daily fine units, each unit worth 7,500 euros, for a total of 450,000 euros.

Criminal defense lawyer Laban Funk (53 years old, member of the Federal Government’s Criminal Procedure Law Reform Commission) explained: "The daily fine unit is determined based on the recognized net daily income. The court in this case found that Adeyemi was deducting taxes and children and spouses After child support, the monthly net income after tax is 225,000 euros. The penalty for those with lower incomes is reduced accordingly. For example, those receiving unemployment benefits only need to pay 15 euros per day. "

According to the prosecutor's office, the penalty order took effect on October 30. Adeyemi has no criminal record so far. According to people close to the international player, Adeyemi’s friendship with his friends has not been affected by the unexpected incident.
